These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Merydiem website, preview application, and related content (together, the "Service"), operated by Merydiem ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service — including by ticking the acceptance box — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Merydiem is an early beta preview of a tool that helps build personalised skincare routines and assess products based on their ingredients. The Service is provided for general informational purposes only, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and may change, be incomplete, or be withdrawn at any time.
We do not warrant or guarantee that any information on the Service is accurate, complete, current, or error-free. Ingredient lists, product data, and any assessments may be unverified, out of date, or incorrect, and product formulations change over time. Always check the product’s own packaging and ingredient list before purchasing or using it, and do not rely on the Service as your only source of information.
The Service does not provide medical, dermatological, or professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Ingredient assessments and routine suggestions are informational only and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always patch-test new products and consult a doctor or dermatologist about your skin.
You use the Service, and any product or routine information obtained from it, entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible or liable for any skin irritation, breakout, rash, dryness, allergic reaction, sensitivity, or any other adverse effect, injury, or harm that may arise from products you choose, purchase, or use, or from any routine you follow, whether or not that product or routine was identified, suggested, or assessed through the Service.
All rights in and to the Service are and remain our exclusive property or that of our licensors. Without limitation, we own or license all intellectual property rights in:
These are protected by copyright, database rights, trademark, and other laws. No rights are granted to you except the limited licence in Section 4. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use only. This licence does not permit any use described in Section 5.
Except with our prior written permission, you must not, and must not permit others to:
You acknowledge that any breach of Sections 3 to 5 may cause us serious and irreparable harm that monetary damages alone cannot adequately remedy, and that we may seek injunctive or other equitable relief, in addition to any other remedies available to us, without the need to post a bond.
Links to shops are plain links: we don’t currently use affiliate links, so we earn nothing when you buy through them. If that changes, we’ll update these terms and say so next to the link. Shopping links never affect which products we show or how they are ranked — recommendations are based only on ingredients and your stated preferences.
You can create an account with a username. Your username, your reviews, your glow points, who you follow and who follows you, and any routine you choose to make public are visible to other people. Your skin preferences and private routines are not. You are responsible for what you post and for keeping your login details safe.
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post, in a username, review, routine title, or anywhere else on the Service, anything that:
You can report any review or profile from inside the Service, and you can block any account so that you no longer see its content. We review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or delete the accounts of people who break these rules, without notice.
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and share it within the Service for as long as it remains posted, including after you delete your account (see Section 8).
You can delete your account at any time from inside the Service: open the Profile tab, open Settings near the bottom of the page, and tap “Delete account”, the last item at the very bottom of Settings. This permanently deletes your profile and username, your saved routines, your glow points, your follows, and your saved skin preferences.
Reviews you have posted are not deleted. They stay on the Service under an anonymous name (for example “user1234”) with nothing linking them to you. If you do not want a review kept, delete it from the product’s page before deleting your account, or email us afterwards and we will remove it. Product labels you scanned are also kept with nothing linking them to you, to help us add products. When you delete your account we ask why you are leaving; your answer is stored without your name or account details.
Deleting your account does not unsubscribe you from our emails; use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us. If you cannot access your account, email parmis@merydiem.com and we will delete it for you.
If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them for any purpose, without obligation or compensation to you.
By submitting your email address, you consent to us contacting you by email about Merydiem — including product updates, news, and, in future, any launch or crowdfunding campaign. We ask for your email in the preview before showing your routine, both to give you access and to keep you updated. We will not sell your email address or share it except as needed to operate our email service. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting us at parmis@merydiem.com, and we will stop emailing you.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the Service collects, why, where it is stored, who helps us run it, and how long we keep it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for: (a) any skin reaction, irritation, breakout, allergic response, injury, or other harm; (b) any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or any information it provides, including any inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date ingredient or product information; or (c) any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise — shall not exceed one hundred pounds (£100). The Service is provided free of charge.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Merydiem and its founder, owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of our rights or the rights of any third party.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that or any other provision. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent; we may assign them freely. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior understandings.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (United Kingdom) and, for users located in the United States, applicable United States federal and state law, according to where you access the Service. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country or state of residence.
